Camden Theological Library

The Camden Theological Library project.

Camden Theological Library came to Experia because they needed a highly usable, accessible website.

As the primary library service of the Uniting Church's NSW/ACT Synod, the site needed to present the breadth of library material available as well as reflect the professional services offered by the library staff.

While it's beginnings go back to the mid-19th century, the library is integral to providing theological leadership on issues facing the Australian church today. Moira Bryant, Library Manager at CTL, approached us with a goal to create a website that would serve as the fresh, vibrant face of the library, as well offer ways for members of the library community to connect and share information via social tools.

Using our experience with other tertiary education providers, we created a content management system that integrates with the library’s existing catalogue system. Twitter feeds and a news & review section enable library staff to keep the community informed of the latest happenings.

The site not only features a wealth of resources, reviews and advice but also reflects the culture of the library and its users through photos and social media.

Simple, clean, functional and stylish, Camden Theological Library has received great feedback about the site since launch - including being featured in the monthly Insights Magazine with its readership of 25,000 subscribers.
